The Iron Warehouse next to its dock on the Saugus River at the Saugus Iron Works. The Saugus Iron Works (originally named Hammersmith) is a national historic landmark and part of the National Parks Service since 1968. Seven waterwheels like the ones shown attached to the Rolling and Slitting Mill powered the entire campus while it was in production. Four other waterwheels are connected to the Forge house.
