Mr. Huey has been a governor of the Uni-versity club and a director of the Art club, and isalso a member of the United Service and Countryclubs. He is a member of the National bar associa-tion, a trustee of the Williamson free school of me-chanical trades, a trustee of the Presbyterian hospital,and a member of the Board of education of Phila-delphia. Mr. Huey was chosen a member of theUnion League in 1868. He was a director and secre-tary of that organization from 1878 to 1889, andsince the latter date, has been its the Union League was losing ground in 1877and its membership rapidly decreasing, Mr. Hueyand other influential members determined to infusenew life into it.
