Plunderers' Wedge, Third Intermediate Period, Dynasty 21, ca. 1070–945 , From Egypt, Upper Egypt, Thebes, Deir el-Bahri, Tomb, Pit, 1923–24, Tamarisk, L. 15 cm (5 7/8 in.), One of two 'plunderers' wedges' found in the pit of Tomb, this was originally a wooden beard, painted blue, and may be the missing beard from the outer coffin of Tabakmut. It was sharpened with an adze at one end to make a wedge, and there are signs of pounding on the other end
