The anterior depthof the pelvis (height of the symphysis) is 4 em. ( in.). Thelateral depth is 9, cm. ( in.). The posterior depth is [3 cm. ( in.). The pelvic inlet is cordiform, with the notched base con-forming with the base of the sacrum and the rounded apexwith the pubes.
