(Aug. 9, 2008) Runners make their way over the first sand dune on the beach at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek (NABLC) at the start of the eighth annual Health Net Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) Mud Run. Approximately 2,500 Mud Runners, both civilians and service members alike, descended upon NABLC to participate in the 8k Mud Run, with all proceeds going to the ASYMCA to help improve the quality of life for junior enlisted military and their families.
