Prosthetic knee after bone cancer surgery, X-ray. This prosthesis (white) is more extensive than the normal knee replacement, as large parts of the femur (thigh bone, upper left) were removed due to a form of bone cancer (osteosarcoma). The cancerous bone was removed surgically and replaced with this implant. For this patient's leg before surgery, see image C038/6692.
