ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 19, 2020) Sailors assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) and the "Salty Dogs" of Test and Evaluation (TE) Squadron (VX) 23 welcome Cmdr. Rodrigo Simoes after he lands the E/A-186 Growler. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
