Stigmata round to comma-shaped. Capit- ulum 700 /< long; base same dimension as in female, postero-lateral angle prolonged, prominent; digit of mandibles 185 //, similar to those of male D. reticulatus; hypostome as in D. reticulatus; palpi shorter than in female, especially second article. Legs: coxae increase in size and become more convergent from I to II; pair IV very large; their posterior margin may be about on a line with poste- rior margin of stig- mata, their median margin nearly paral- lel for some distance; same projections as in female, but pos- tero-median tubercle absent from coxae IV; other articles of legs similar to D. reticulatus. Female.—Body depressed, oblong, sides nearly parallel, nearly as broad anteriorly as posteriorly, 5 to 17 mm. long, to 10 mm. broad, color red- dish brown (alcohol speci- mens) ; capitulum and legs not so dark. Scutum elon- gate, subpentagonal, ex- tending nearly to the mid- dle of the back in young specimens, deeply excavate ante- riorly, so as to form two antero-lateral acute points; cervical grooves curved, deep in front, broad and not very distinct in back; punctations fine, numerous; color light brown, with some thin white rust of slightly metallic effect, and leaving exposed a median longitudinal band, the cervical grooves, and a small band along the convexity of the latter
