Head and thorax black, suffused with blue-grey except the palpi and antennae; patagia scarlet edged with bluish grey; coxse scarlet; abdomen black, with dorsal scarlet bands except on last two segments, only leaving narrow segmental black lines towards base. Fore wing scarlet, becoming slightly orange towards apex; the costa blackish, expanding into a fuscous streak at middle ; a fuscous streak on median nervuie and vein 5 to near termen ; the inner margin fuscous ; cilia blackish.
