RIGHT PRICES Shipping Orders Given Prompt and Careful Attention It is difficult to place the cause for the quiet conditions prevailing. Some at- tribute it to the war, others to the ab- normally cold weather, but the probable explanation is that it is merely the after effects of an exceptionally good Easter combined with the unusually heavy pro- duction of flowers. American Beauties sold well last week and nearly everybody readily cleared up his supply. Other varieties of roses were plentiful, but did not sell well. There seemed to be a preference for red varieties, but even these sold slowly. Carnations have been selling fairly well at low prices. Ked and white varieties are the best sellers, being used a great deal for decorating purposes at patriotic parties. There is enough valley on the market to meet the demand. Lilies are in over- supply, a considerable surplus being left of those not ready for Easter. Sweet peas
