In the kindergarten we have had an average daily attendanceof forty children. They have all come from homes which lackentirely any incentive for a higher standard of living. But oncethese children become interested in the work and play of ourkindergarten, their parents begin to take a new and differentinterest in life. When they realize that we are interested in themand in their children, that we are anxious that their childrenmay learn and may grow up into Christian manhood and woman-hood, they, too, then struggle upward and strive to help us dofor their children that which they alone cannot do.
