Most plastered walls are un-even and irregular and where acomplete plate rail is hung it isoften difficult to make it con-form to the various irregularities in the wall In putting up this combinationplate rail, the ledge being but one piece, easily conforms to the irregularitiesexisting in the wall and it is then only necessary to lay the shelf on theledge, the strong interlocking joint requiring very little nailing.
