19th c. hand-painted Victorian botanical illustration of Tea, Coffee, Cocoa, Rice and Sugar cane plants. Important economic plants. See notes.

Plate 1: (1) Tea Plant / Camellia sinensis (2) Coffee Plant / Coffea arabica (3) Cocoa Plant / Theobroma cacao (4) Rice Plant / Oryza sativa (5) Sugarcane / Saccharum officinarum - Sourced from Popular Economic Botany by Thomas Croxen Archer. Pub. Reeve & Co., London. 1858. So no longer in copyright. - Pages of book are foxed (tinted yellow-orange with age) so some desaturation has been applied and levels boosted to lighten. Patina /texture of page and paper fibre still exists should you want this rather than pure white b/ground. Bad paper stains and some printing ink blobs have been removed though there are some very minor paper flecks embedded here and there.
