The Bell-bird {Chasmorhj/nchus rmdicoUis). bowers, which they construct, and which do not serve asnests, are a small group of sixteen species absolutely peculiar toAustralia and New G-uinea. Of these, the Satin Bower-bird(Ptilonorhynchus violaceus, fig. 99) will afiord a good example. We may now return to consider certain Birds which are re-presented in our own region of the world.
