The ruins of the medieval joined churches St Peter and St Hans on a sunny summer's day in Visby on the Swedish island Gotland. View of the Baltic Sea.

St Peter and St Hans churches are joined together and form a single complex. The church dedicated to St Peter is the oldest, probably from mid 12th century. The Hanseatic city of Visby is the best-preserved medieval city in Scandinavia and is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. Most notable historical remains are the km long city ring wall encircling the city center, and the number of church ruins, especially medieval church ruins.
