Merveille du Jour moth


Merveille du Jour (Griposia aprilina) moth, a member of the family Noctuidae. The flight period is usually September and October. This species occurs in gardens and woodlands and is found mainly in Europe and the western Palearctic region. The larvae feeds internally on the flowers and leaves of Oak trees. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in October.
