This is a splendid ornamental plant, bearing large clusters of flowers on long flower stalks, and lasting a long time in bloom. There is no finer plant than this for out-door decoration, planted in large pots or tubs on the lawn, terrace or piazza. It does well in the house or greenhouse in winter, requiring but slight protection. We offer two varieties. Pure White (new), very rare. Price 40 (fts. Bright Blue, one of the finest of blue flowering plants. Price 25 cts. Asters, Truffanfs Perfection. Our strain of large flowering Perfection Asters, is now acknowl- edged one of the finest in the country. Our list of patrons is very large. Many dislike the bother of raising their plants. We therefore supply fine plants after April 1st. Colors: Pink, white, purple, crimson or mixed. Price 30 cts. per doz.; larger, pot grown plants, ready in May, 40 cts. per doz. Aster, Comet. A noble flower from the Cape of Good Hope; perfectly hardy south of Washington, and even further north if planted a foot deep and covered. The flowers appear in the fall, and are of the most beautiful satiny rose imaginable, and of exquisite fragrance. They are produced in umbels of six to twelve flowers in a cluster. A fine sort for pot culture. Price, extra strong bulbs, 50 cts. Amaryllis, Zeph yranthes Atamasco. A species allied to the "Amaryllis," of the easiest culture, thriving in any garden soil. Planted either in the open ground or in pots, the bulbs produce very beautiful, lily-like flowers, and bloom freely all summer.
