A Marine from Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, greets his loved one during liberty call at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Jan. 21. This is the first time Marines have seen their families and friends since arriving at the depot 13 weeks ago. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 22.
