The dancers, known locally as 'the Nutters', dressed in red and white skirts and blackened faces, and accompanied by the Stacksteads Silver Band, traditionally dance through the streets Bacup, Lancashire, on Easter Saturday every year and can trace the origins of the tradition back as far as 1857
