Small snow melt rivulet flowing down a granite cliff, Mussel Creek estuary, Mussel Inlet, mid-coast British Columbia

In the late spring and early summer the snow melt from the high snow fields of the Great Bear Rainforest and the Fiordland Conservancy starts to flow down the steep sides of the fjords as huge water falls, and as small rivulets as seen in this image of the water tickling down the face of a granite cliff. Even at this lower elevation, some old snow could be seen in areas that were shaded from the sun.
