E. CRITCHELL, ""%YSS,^s¥^^" Cincinnati, Ohio 15 EAST THIRD STREET TORONTO, ONT. The Market. The available supply of flowers is in- creasing, but the growers are still un- able to fill all the orders. The demand is large, though the call for design work has decreased with the abatement of the flu epidemic. There is still considerable illness in the city and a number of the florists are on the sick list. The stock of lilies for Easter is larger than that of last year and, if prices do not frighten the buying public, a big Easter business will be done. The re- tailers are arranging for extra help and additional delivery trucks. If warm weather comes for Easter it will be a profitable one, but if the cold weather continues and extra wrappings are required and all the other extra ex- penses, the higher prices wiH make the retailer hustle to make the Easter busi- ness pay. Club Meetings. The Toronto Retail Florists' Associa- tion met March 15, with Vice-president Silas McFadden in the chair. It was decided to invite the growers to meet with them at their club rooms April 19, to discuss matters of mutual interest. Many of the retailers spoke along the line that the sooner the retailer and the grower get together and pull together, the better for the trade. It was in this spirit that the meeting was proposed. The executive committee was instructed to send the invitations. The growers are cordially invited to attend or to have representatives present to talk over matters for the benefit of the busi- ness. A large representation of both growers and florists is expected. James Cannon
