American helicopters providing a troop lift for the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment during Operation PIRANHA. The helicopters, including the U-34 and 0-2, escorted the battalion into Landing Zone Pino, after completing an 8-mile line across Cap Batangau-Anlly. The operation was carried out on September 7, 1965, starting at 6:50 , with no damage to the helicopters despite two enemy automatic weapons near LZ Pino.
