London, UK. 30 March 2017. Visitors will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get up close to the ceiling of the Greenwich's Painted Hall through a series of tours from 1 April. The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich, described as 'the Sistine Chapel of the UK' is undergoing a major transformation over the next two years. At the centrepiece of Sir James Thornhill's ceiling painting 'The Triumph of Peace and Liberty over Tyranny' are William III and Mary II. Fine art conservator Denise Invamoto at work.
