A heavy sword made for the Munich Town Guard, circa 1600 Broad blade of diamond section. The mark "ST," for Wolfgang Standler, stamped on both sides of the ricasso. Blackened iron knuckle-bow hilt with the original, spiral iron wire winding (somewhat loosened) and Turk's heads. Length 111 cm. Rare sword with all parts original.
