This 1950 vintage home had steel framed single glazed glass windows installed throughout. Some windows were upgraded circa 1970's with aluminum framed double glazed glass, the seals of which had all failed, making the glass somewhat obscure from interior contaminants. There were several windows that had accessory windows installed on the interior of the original windows, foam seal on three sides but with a two inch gap at the top of the window casing. The glass was covered with a white film that could not be cleaned off. All windows were replaced with state of the art high efficiency, strong, windows with the highest energy conserving rating.
