There is much to recommend it, besides its well-knowncharacteristic of early blooming; it is one of the firstto present its flowers in Spring. The blooms are of abeautiful white and very double. There may be otherdouble sorts in cultivation, but the writer does not recol-lect any. .\s well known, besides the merit of the largermass of petals, double flowers last longer than singleones do. The plant shown in the .photo-graph was an ordinary one,growing without any particularcare, and a young bush at full-grown specimens ofSpiraea Reevesii are seen,loaded with flower
