Wellington Arch and Quadriga, London, c1915. View of the Wellington Arch, a triumphal arch in central London between Hyde Park and Green Park. It was designed by Decimus Burton and built 1826-1830, and once supported an equestrian statue of the 1st Duke of Wellington. The sculpture of the quadriga, (an ancient four-horse chariot), designed by Adrian Jones, has been mounted on it since 1912. Postcard.
