Sgt. 1st Class Nicholas Goldwire, a Florida Army National Guard (FLNG) soldier with the 631st Support Maintenance Co. (SMC) out of Camp Blanding, Fla., sets down tape as part of a Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drill to examine a formation vital to the state's Hurricane Ian relief effort. As Hurricane Ian loomed upon the state of Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis activated over 5000 FLNG soldiers in preparation for landfall.
