I CHAPTER VI THE DETERMINATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ELEC-TRICAL EQUIPMENT OF THE TRAINS ON THE CENTRALLONDON RAILWAY The Central London Eailway* is built with grades sloping downfrom the out-going end of the platform, and rising up to the arrivingend of the platform. Throughout the length of the platform thetrack is level. The line originally extended from Shepherds Bushto the Bank, and is 5*77 miles in length between those two are 11 intermediate stations, which, together with the twoterminal stations—namely. Shepherds Bush and Bank—make a totalof 13 stations. The average distance between stations is— ^ = 0-48 mile.
