Ears 10-14 rowed, kernels rich yellow in color, medium in width and depth. GOLDEN HYBRID No. 2439 (y) An exclusive Asgrow development from crossing inbred lines Asgrow 24 x P39. Exceptionally valuable to truckers and canners. Plant tall, vigorous, uniform, comparatively free from suckers; leaves wide, dark green and numerous. Ears cylindrical, 14-16 rowed, with long husks affording consider- able resistance to ear worm. Kernels lustrous golden yellow, medium-narrow and deep, with tender hull; sweet and of excel- lent quality. Highly resistant to Stewart's disease. This variety is often spoken of as Bantam Evergreen Hybrid but is quite distinct from any other of that name. Hiawatha (y) An exclusive Asgrow hybrid of dainty Golden Bantam type pro- duced primarily for packing corn on the cob by canners and quick freezers but also eminently suitable for the market gar- dener catering to restaurants which prefer to serve a small ear. Gives a heavy yield of true 8-row Bantam ears of fine quality. Ioana (y) Originated by Dr. E. S. Haber of Iowa State College, com- mercially developed and entered by us in the All-America Selections trials for 1939 when it was awarded a Bronze Medal. An attractive and productive variety, highly resistant to drought and wilt, suitable for either gardener or canner. Plants tall and sturdy,
