The great all-sky aurora of the night of May 27/28, 2017, shot from home in southern Alberta looking north toward the auroral oval. The curtain is fringed with pink from glowing nitrogen. The greens, here bright enough to light the ground, are from oxygen. This is a stack of 8 exposures for the ground to smooth noise, and one exposure for the sky, all exposures at with the 12mm Rokinon full-frame fish-eye lens and Nikon D750 at ISO 3200. Shot as part of a time-lapse sequence.
