CP Rail Intermodal train westbound nears CN Siska Bridge over Fraser River BC

The Canadian Pacific Railway was completed in 1888 to become the first railway to cross Canada to the Pacific Ocean, and only the second to cross North America. Its most scenic locations are in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, where one can see grand mountains, winter landscapes, powerful rivers, stunning lakes, long bridges, numerous tunnels, and climate zones varying from prairies, to alpine, to semi-desert to the Pacific Ocean.
