He voted twice for the martyred Lincoln,and twice for Gen. Grant. We find much that is worthy of com-mendation in the career of this venerable gentleman. George Greigg, a prominent business man and banker of Pekin,came to Tazewell Co. in the fall of 1841. He is the son of Davidand Agnes (Hackney) Greigg, of Scottish birth, and was himselfborn in Forfarshire, Scotland, in the year 1818, where, surroundedby the best influences of his mountain home, he formed his habitsand established a character that has done much, in mature years, to.
