RAF C130J or Hercules just touching down
RAF C130J registration number ZH881 called by the RAF Hercules C5 at touchdown producing a puff of smoke from its undercarriage wheels with the control tower in the background at Farnborough International Airshow after its flying display . Length of C5 is 97 feet 9 inches or 29 point 79 metres with a wingspan of 132 ft 7 in or 40 point 41 m . 8 pallets of supplies or over one hundred infantry can be carried . This versatile carrier aeroplane is manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in the USA . The Super Hercules has a gross weight of 16400 pounds or 75390 Kilogrammes a maximum speed of about 355 Knots or 655 Kilometres per hour and can carry a payload of 47800 pounds lbs or 21680 Kilogrammes . Typical range 2500 miles 2174 nautical miles with 25000 lbs or 11250 kgs .
