A Samnite trefoil-plate cuirass, 4th century Bronze. Identical breast and back plates for a "triple-disc armour", each consisting of three cambered discs each with a small central boss, with additional bosses between the discs as well as at the upper rim, which is folded over as a reinforcement, with a serrated edge. Lining holes at regular intervals along the perimeter. A riveted loop on the sides and at each shoulder for fastening the side and shoulder lacings.
