Image of camouflaged artillery gun pits at Camp Kearney, California, taken on February 21, 1918. Although guns or soldiers are not visible in the photograph, there were 17 gun pits, 8 field pieces, and over 300 men within a 200-foot radius. The skillful camouflaging effectively hides their positions. Image released by War College Division.
