A well-known pair of bright emission nebulae about 7500ly distant in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way, the Hart (IC1805) and Soul (IC1848) nebulae span about 300 light-years the centre of the Heart is Melotte 15, a cluster of stars of about 50 solar masses, powering the glow of the nebula.
