The danger in the operation is hemorrhage froma wound of one of the arteries, but these vessels are protected by thefingers placed as described. Macroglossia. Macroglossia, or hypertrophy of the tongue, is usually a congenitalaffection or appears in early infancy ( Fig. 1 77). Butlin ! states that in 1 Diseases of the Tongue, p. 211.
