A photograph taken by Cpl. Paul C. Bogart on Sept. 16, 1918, shows the entrance to a German dugout located under the corner of a church. In the foreground, there is a German grave. Pvt. Hertel from the 60th Regiment Infantry Medical Detachment can be seen standing at the entrance. The photograph was taken in Vieville en Hays, France, and was issued with the inspector's notes 2-94. It was received on Oct. 23, 1918 and passed by censor.
