Baobab tree (Adansonia digitata) in the Tsimanampetsotsa reserve in Madagascar. The baobab can grow to heights of 30metres and thrives in arid scrubland due to its large trunk that stores water. The fibrous bark of the baobab can be up to 15cm thick and is used to make rope.
