The Kirkstone Pass Inn in the English Lake District

The A592 road between Windermere and Penrith crosses the Kirkstone Pass at an altitude of 1,489 feet and is the highest pass in the Lake District open to cars. The Inn at the summit is the highest inhabited building in Cumbria and the third highest Inn in England. The building itself dates back to the end of the fifteenth century.
