SEA (June 5, 2018) Lt. Michael Karafotis explains the purpose of the central control station to midshipmen aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) as the ship participates in exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2018. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region and one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe that is designed to enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations.
