Photograph of  The Holiday Inn, Ilfracombe, taken prior to 1975. In the background to the right is the Pavilion. The cars in the foreground are a Ford Cortina reg AUO 171L, a car reg GHO 267D and another Cortina NMF 174L.  The Holiday Inn was erected in 1867 as "The Ilfracombe" and later had an indoor pool. The owners leased it to Bass Charrington in 1950 and they renamed it The Holiday Inn. At the end of the lease Bass relinquished the building and it was demolished in 1976.
