There are ten temples dotting the circumference of the Lonar Crater in Maharashtra, India, surrounded by thick forests. This one is the Gomukh temple


Lonar Crater was formed roughly 50,000 years ago when a giant meteor crashed into earth. Around the 5th to 9th Century AD, various ruling dynasties, from the Chalukyas to the Yadavas, constructed a total of 10 beautiful rock cut temples around the lake. These temples are a prime example of the hemadpanthi Style of Architecture
