General Information l~\URING the past five years the records at Ottawa•*^ show that Aberdeen Angus cattle have increasedproportionately faster than any other breed of pure-bred livestock in the Dominion of Canada. The recordsfor 1920 will certainly show that this record has beenmaintained. The reasons underlying this rapid in-. More popular than ever is the dual purpose sheep. To mark this jubilee the Canadian Ayrshire Re-view was brought into being—a monthly magazinepublished in both English and French. The AyrshireAssociation claims the distinction of being the firstCanadian breed association to thus issue a breedmagazine. While it has drawn heavily on. our fin- ances, especially the issuing of the French edition,yet it is recognized by men who stand on neutralground that it has been the best stroke of businessyet done by the Ayrshire Association. These sameneutrals say that increased enthusiasm and interestin the breed is very noticeable, due to the Review. Itis doing much tc harmonize Ayrshire interests andbring the breeders to realize their possibilities.
