His wife had died several years are survived by four of their seven chil-dren. Thomas Doyle spent his youth upon the homefarm, attending the common schools, wherehe mastered the branches of English learningusually taught in such institutions and thusbecame well prepared for the discharge of hisbusiness duties and obligations.
