Traitors Centuries of history around a famous medieval castle, home to the Crown Jewels and iconic Beefeaters. Tower of London is an historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. Founded towards the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest. William the Conqueror built the White Tower in 1078. It has played a prominent role in English history. Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
