THE New York Avenue Church was first organized as theSecond Reformed Church in 1847, and its first house ofworship was built at the corner of Ferry and McWhorterStreets, the next year. In the year 1888 the church removed to the chapel alreadycompleted on the new site at the corner of Pacific Street andNew York Avenue. The corner-stone of the new church was laid October 6,1891, and on Deceinber 5, 1892. the present house of worshipwas dedicated as the New York .Avenue Reformed
