An C18th painted cupboard (aumbry) N of the altar in Llangar Old Parish Church, Denbighshire, Wales, UK. It has two hinges on the L, three locks on the R & a cherub in the tympanum above. It was probably used to safely store the church plate & registers (the church had no vestry & little floor space for a locked church chest to stand. The aumbry may have been built into a Medieval window light. Traces of Medieval & later wall paintings, including a fragment of the Apostles' Creed, are visible along the N wall.
