Kandel, Germany. 3rd March 2018. A protester carries a sign that reads An end to the diamond of terror', a reference to the Merkel diamond. Around 3,500 people from different right-wing groups and parties protested in the town of Kandel in Palatinate against refugees and foreigners. They called for more security of Germans and women from the alleged increased violence by refugees. The place of the protest was chosen because of the 2017 Kandel stabbing attack, in which a 15 year old girl was killed by an asylum seeker.
